Athletics

A strong sports program is a vital part of student life and provides a balance with academics, which the students need for a well-rounded school experience. Young bodies need physical exercise, and students also learn to work together as a team in many of the sports programs offered.

Bluffton Middle School offers 10 different middle school athletic participation sports including baseball, basketball (boys and girls), cheerleading, football, soccer (boys and girls), fast-pitch softball (girls), track & field (boys and girls), volleyball (girls) and wrestling.

All participating students must complete the Athletic Sports Packet for this school year.

Assistant Athletic Director

Dwon Fields Sr. is the BLMS assistant athletic director.  Mr. Fields was a trailblazer for the Bluffton Middle School athletic department as he was the first coach for our Mustang football team. He brings a plethora of knowledge to our program, but nothing is more evident than his advocacy for our players. Outside of Bluffton Middle School, Coach Fields founded the Bluffton Bulldogs- a program started to engage the youngsters of Bluffton to participate in contact football.
