Clubs & Activities

Academic Assistance provides an opportunity for students to have extra time with their teachers. There is be a select time to focus on ELA (Reading and Writing), math, and assistance with assignments.

Meeting Times: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays  4:10 - 5:30 / start date TBA

Location: BLMS Classrooms

Dismissal: All students, whether they are taking the bus or getting picked up by car, will be picked up in the back of the school. Any student getting picked up by car needs to be picked up by 5:30 or will have to take the bus.

Art Club is a space for students to learn about new art styles, artists, and create original artwork! 

Open to all grades, all students, no prior art knowledge required!

The Basketball Club is for all 6^th , 7^th , and 8^th grade students that are curious, serious, or just enjoy playing basketball!  This will give the students an opportunity to practice and play with others that enjoy the sport!!

Requirements:  Participants must be interested in playing basketball. You will need a parent permission form on file and be a car rider on days the club will meet.

The Boys Volleyball Club is for all 6^th , 7^th , and 8^th grade boys that are curious, serious, or just enjoy playing volleyball!  This will give the boys an opportunity to practice and play with others that enjoy the sport!!

LEARN, LAUGH, COOK! 

Come put on your aprons and learn some simple tips for making your own delicious snacks and meals.  Culinary Creations Cooking Club will use real food to teach some of the basics in cooking, reading recipes and exploring new foods.  Stop by the front office to get a registration packet. Students need to pay a $20 fee to join.

Dance Club is a student-led club. Students will learn about, participate in, practice, and teach dances to other students.

Meet in the gym for an encouraging time with other students who want to be make a difference in the world and be challenged in their faith. The club is led each week by our own Bluffton Middle School students. Remember, you don’t have to be an athlete to come!

Green Step Schools is a program designed to help South Carolina schools earn awards for establishing sustainability projects where students learn, do and teach others. We are here to connect mentors with schools to guide and evaluate these projects.

Dismissal: All students must be picked up by 4:45 PM

Students come together to debate timeless and timely topics and are judge by "citizen judge panels." Students learn the art of argumentation and the relevance of current events.

Leading Ladies Club is a club for young ladies in our school community where we strive to foster their advancement, help them make positive life choices, maximize their full potential, and provide support inside and outside their school environment.

Model UN is a club where students learn about the role of the United Nations in the modern world.  Students learn about the process of how the UN works, take on the role of a UN Member country, and role play in order to better understand why the United Nationals is so important in today’s society and how it affects the world around us.

MustangTV produces our morning news show every day. Students write the script, film the show, edit the footage, and publish the news daily on YouTube and to every classroom in the school.

National Jr Honors Society students and their peers volunteer in their communities at the highest rates and make connecting with and serving within the community a priority.

Students are invited to be inducted into NJHS annually.

Robotics Club aims to instill STEM education through hands-on Robotics experience. It offers unique and challenging team-based games that put engineering and technology skills to the test.

Yearbook club creates our annual BLMS yearbook. The yearbook staff includes photography, design, editing, and marketing staffs. If you are interested in design, marketing and photography, yearbook is for you!
