A Note from the Nurse
The nurse is available during school hours for accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur during the school day. Illnesses or injuries that happen during non-school hours should be managed by parents/guardians.
*Sick Students: Please do send students to school if they are already sick. Students should remain home or will be sent home from school if they have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever, temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, with or without any other symptoms.
- Vomiting or diarrhea (multiple times) within the past 24 hours.
- Strep throat diagnosis by doctor who hasn’t started antibiotics within past 12 hours.
- Any communicable disease such as chicken pox, measles, etc.
If your child will be taking prescribed and/or over-the-counter medications at school, please read and download the Beaufort County School District's medical policy.
