Media Center

Admittance: Our School library operates on a flexible schedule based on the current curriculum and instructional needs of our students and teachers. Our open access policy means students can visit the library at any time with a pass from their teacher.

• Students are expected to enter the library quietly
• Be respectful to everyone and library materials
• Use Library Etiquette
• Speak appropriately and to help keep the library organized

• Students are welcome to check out and return books at any time.

• Students can borrow as many books as they need based on their grade level. 

• Students can return books at any time.

• Students must return all books within two weeks from the date it was borrowed.

• Students can renew a  book if it is needed for a longer time period.

Students can be sent with a pass at any time to the library media center to use the Maker/BreakerSpace area. Students can visit for 30 minutes once per day. Students can choose from various independent STEM activities which also involve using tools to disassemble broken electronics out of curiosity to see how it works or fix it if possible.

• Students with overdue books will not be allowed to borrow any more books until the book is returned. 

• Exceptions can be made with permission from the librarian and classroom teacher for assignments only. 

• Students will be charged for the replacement cost of their library book if damaged or lost.

• Students will not be able to check out another book until they pay for the lost or damaged book, or make payment arrangements with the bookkeeper.
